Senior soccer players give back

Being an athlete at Central Catholic is about more than working on the field. Our athletes are asked to be leaders on and off the field. They are also challenged to give back to their community.

That philosophy was put into action recently when three of our Lady Crusader Soccer players, seniors, Hannah Dolan, Morgan Knight and Anna Winkhart, along with Jim Naegeli, current assistant soccer coach, Crusader alumni and former Campus Minister, helped with Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital’s KickStart Soccer Program for inner city youth this summer. The KickStart program was led by Crusader graduate and also, former Campus Minister, PJ Chavez.

We are proud to see generations of Crusaders giving back! That’s the Central Catholic Tradition of Excellence!

Good luck to the Lady Crusaders who play at home later today (Sat. Aug. 26) against Tuslaw at 11am. Go, Cru!
