Wow! The Crusaders Girls Tennis Team has won TEN straight matches in a row!
Three recent wins clinched their winning streak. They beat JFK 3-2. Led by Grace Finefrock who won her 14th match of the year, Isabel Lombardi with her 11th win of the season, and Lily Heck who notched her 16th match win.
The team defeated Cardinal Mooney, 4-1. Lily Heck stepped into the number one spot in the lineup and won convincingly 6-3, 6-0. Wins were also racked up by Jillyan Stevens at 3rd singles, Samantha Hoover & Marie Weller at first doubles, Addie Burgess & Alexa Huffman at second doubles.
The girls tennis team traveled to Manchester and emerged victorious by a score of 3-2. Freshman Grace Finefrock won easily at first singles, freshman Isabell Lombardi played her opponent even thru the first two sets then pulled away in the third for a win at second singles, and senior team captain Lily Heck won the deciding match at third singles in straight sets and improved her match record to 13 and 2. Great work, ladies and Coach Jelichek!
