Seussical the Musical Jr. Enchants Audiences Young and Old

St. Michael School had another amazing theatre production last weekend.  The cast and crew of "Seussical Jr." worked hard, rehearsing for their performances on March 7th and 8th, 2024. The vibrant musical brought the beloved stories and characters of Dr. Seuss to life on stage. Auditions for students in grades 4-8 were held in early December 2023.

"Seussical Jr." followed the adventures of Horton the Elephant and his friendship with a quirky bird named Gertrude McFuzz. With its catchy tunes, whimsical set designs, and valuable lessons about loyalty and perseverance, this family-friendly show was a delightful experience for audiences of all ages.

The dedicated students involved had put in countless hours learning their lines, choreographing dances, and preparing creative costumes and props that captured the essence of Dr. Seuss's imaginative world. The theatre program at St. Michael School fostered teamwork, confidence, and an appreciation for the arts among its young thespians.

As the performance dates drew near, excitement built within the school community and beyond. Families could look forward to an entertaining and uplifting theatrical adventure that celebrated the power of friendship, imagination, and standing up for what's right. Attendees were delighted and amazed at the talent of this group that was nothing short of "fantastical"!
