Uniforms

School Uniform and Dress Code

GIRLS: On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
 
Blouses/Shirts: Solid color navy, white, powder blue or khaki blouse or knit shirt with collar. 
 
Jumpers/Skirts:  Plaid jumpers or solid navy or khaki jumpers, skirts, skorts, pants, or shorts.  Jumpers, skirts, and shorts must be of modest length, no shorter than two inches above the knee. Pants should be simple twill or cotton uniform style. NO leggings. No cargo shorts, cutoffs, tightly fitting jeans or very short styles are permitted.
 
Shorts: Can be worn from May 1st through November 1st. 
 
Shoes: Mary Janes, flats or loafer style shoes are permitted. Solid color black, brown or gray tennis shoes can be worn.  Bright colors, flashing lights or busy patterns are not permitted.  Sandals, flip flops or hi heels are not permitted. Boots are not uniform attire so the girls should bring or keep shoes in the classroom and change from boots into shoes when they arrive at school.  
 
BOYS: On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday  
 
Pants/shorts: Navy or khaki twill or cotton uniform style pants or shorts.  No jeans or pants with rivets, decorations, large pockets or hammer loops.  Sweatpants and knits pants are not permitted. No cargo shorts or cut-offs are permitted.  Shorts can be worn from May 1st through November 1st. 
 
Shirts: Navy, light blue, white, or khaki polo or dress shirt. 
 
Shoes: Solid color navy or black tennis shoes.  
 
All Students:  
 
Sweaters: Solid navy, gray or white sweaters or zip up fleece may be worn on cold days. 
 
Friday Gym Uniform: St. James gym t-shirt with solid color black, navy or gray nylon pants. When the weather is cold, a long sleeve solid color shirt can be worn under the t-shirt.
