Athletics

With a commitment to developing the whole individual, St. Michael's athletic program promotes Catholic values of faith, humility, fairness, charity, and leading by example.   These values are embedded in our athletic programs where our children learn teamwork, sportsmanship, how to compete, and life lessons. Our goal is to teach Catholic Values through sports with a focus on good sportsmanship and leadership.  All students are encouraged to participate and no one is cut from our teams.
  • 1st and 2nd grade programs are fun while introducing students to a sport. Open to all parishioners.
  • 3rd and 4th grade continues development of basic skills while introducing a game environment. Open to all parishioners.
  • 5th and 6th grade sports allows students to be competitive in games while developing athletic abilities and understanding concepts of teamwork and leadership.  Open to all parishioners.
  • 7th and 8th grade is our most competitive level.  Our students compete against other Catholic and public middle school teams. At this level, there is a great deal of focus on individual development in a team environment.  We are teaching more than just athletic skills.  Here is where we challenge the individual to grow as a person; to be a strong, vocal leader. We prepare our students for high school competition. St. Michael and Stark County Catholic Elementary School students only.
